Start by finding a suitable spot for your campfire. Make sure that you’re choosing an area that doesn’t have too much vegetation, as this could cause your fire to spread too quickly and for your Sims to get burned.

Once you have located an open field or other suitable area for a campfire, select “Build” from the main menu. You will now be able to choose from various objects in The Sims 4 library including a “basic campfire” item. Click on this item and drag it onto the area where you want your campfire to be built.

Necessary Items

Before you can start a fire in The Sims 4, there are several items that you will need to ensure success.

• Something to ignite the fire, such as a lighter or matches.
• If you want your Sim to start the fire using their science skill, then you will need a Bunsen burner from the science lab.

How to start a fire in sims 4

Starting a fire will require the use of a Sim’s lighter, which can be purchased in Buy Mode or found in an interactive stove or fireplace.

• Call for a firefighter. Whether you have an active fire or smoke in the room, the firefighters can come to the rescue and deal with it within a few moments.
• Use a Fire Extinguisher. Place this item near the base of the flames; you should be able to hear it sounding any time your Sim is near a burning object. Pulling the extinguisher’s trigger will cause it to release foam, smothering away at any nearby fires.
• Fight fires by hand with a bucket of water or garden hose; however, this can be dangerous and risky! Instruct your Sims not to walk into or stand too close to any burning items or flames while they are putting them out; you want their Sim-selves safe! Additionally, keep in mind that some objects take longer than others to put out— just make sure everyone stays safe!

Once you’ve gathered the necessary materials and prepped your area, it’s time to start your fire. Start by building a tiny pyramid of kindling in the center of the fire pit. Lay a few more pieces of kindling over the top. Take some larger pieces of fuel like logs or branches and place them around the kindling, forming an open circle around it. Take care not to crowd the space so that air can flow freely around your little pyre.

Once you have everything set up, light the tinder with whatever source of fire you choose—be it a lighter, matches or a flint stone—and keep adding larger pieces of wood until your fire is burning nicely and steadily.
